FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A Metro Youth Sports football coach has been arrested on rape charges, according to our partners in news at ABC 21.

Marvin Davis was arrested Tuesday after police say he raped one of his players’ sister.

The victim told police she met Davis on July 18. Her brother was injured and Davis gave the victim, her brother and her mother a ride to an urgent care center. Davis reportedly asked the victim if she would be interested in an assistant cheerleading coach position, and said he would pick her up for try-outs the next day.

On July 19, the victim reports Davis picked her up, and said he had to stop by his house on the way to try-outs. Davis allegedly asked the victim strange questions on the way to his home, such as asking about her age and telling her she looked much older.

At Davis’ house, the victim reports they went upstairs and Davis grabbed her by the back of her neck and forced her against the bedroom door. He then allegedly pulled down her pants and raped her. The victim also reports he put his hand over her mouth when she tried to scream.

Afterward, the victim went to the bathroom and discovered there was still a condom in her, which she handed over to police as evidence.

Police later questioned Davis, who said they had consensual sex and oral sex. He also allegedly asked police if they have any type of classes, saying that while he doesn’t admit he is guilty of rape, he knows he has issues.

Davis is preliminarily charged with rape and sexual battery. He is set to appear in court Thursday for an initial hearing.
