Meth Lab Investigation Nets Two Arrests

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two people are in custody after a meth lab investigation in Fort Wayne.


Shortly before 1:00 a.m., Friday, authorities served a search warrant in connection to the manufacturing and distribution of Methamphetamine at 1018 Rabus Drive. Once officers arrived on the scene, they took Joshua Smith and Margaret Perlich into custody.


Smith is facing the following charges:


Manufacturing Methamphetamine

Possession of Paraphernalia

Neglect of a Dependent

Illegal Dumping of a Controlled Waste

Maintaining a Common Nuisance

Possession of Two or More Precursors



Perlich is facing the following charges:


Possession of Methamphetamine

Manufacturing Methamphetamine (2 counts)

Possession of Paraphernalia

Neglect of a Dependent

Illegal Dumping of a Controlled Waste

Maintaining a Common Nuisance

Possession of Two or More Precursors



Four kids were also found at the scene and removed from the home by the Department of Child Services. 
This is the 44th meth lab processed by the Fort Wayne Police Department this year.
