Marion Police Involved In Shooting

A man has been shot and killed by Marion Police after they say he held up the Dollar General in their town.  It all started on Saturday night at just before 10, Robert Thompson came into the store as the clerk was counting the days receipts, a second employee heard what was going on and called for help.  The cops showed up sealed the place off and went in looking for him.  He pointed his sawed off shotgun at them, they took cover and he ran out the back.  That’s when he ran into a couple of more officers at which time he pointed his gun at them he fired one round and they fired.  Indiana State Troopers are investigating the shooting.  No officers were hurt in this shooting.
