FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A Marion County jury will be selected to review a Fort Wayne death penalty case, according to The Journal Gazette.

Marcus Dansby, 23, is charged with four counts of murder, and one count of attempted murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, after the September 11, 2016 attack that killed four people, one of which was eight and half months pregnant.

If convicted, Dansby faces the death penalty.

In February of 2018, WOWO News reported Dansby’s case was rescheduled for 2019.

Allen County Superior Court Judge Fran Gull issued an order Monday for jurors to be chosen from Marion County.

This order comes after Dansby’s attorneys asked for the case to be moved from Allen County, arguing comments on social media and news coverage of the case have biased potential local jurors.

Selected Marion County jurors will be taken to Allen County for the trial, which is scheduled for April 16, 2019.
