Marijuana Bust in Adams County

ADAMS COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A Crime Stoppers tip leads police to an indoor marijuana growing operation in Adams County.

An in-depth investigation by the Indiana State Police in Fort Wayne come to an end Friday with the arrest of a man and woman, both from Decatur, who were allegedly found to be maintaining an indoor marijuana growing operation at their residence in Decatur. 

The investigation began six to seven weeks ago when an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers was forwarded to the Indiana State Police in Fort Wayne about an alleged indoor marijuana grow on Johns Street in Decatur. 

Friday morning around 10:50 a.m., officers executed a search warrant at the Johns Street residence and as a result, located and seized more than 40 marijuana plants, processed marijuana and a sizeable amount of equipment used in the marijuana growing process.

 

33-year-old Marc Hill, 33 and 32-year-old Haven Proctor were both arrested and taken to the Adams County Jail. 

Hill is facing the following charges:


• Manufacturing Marijuana Within 1000 Feet of a Youth Program Center, Class C Felony 
• Possession of More Than 30 Grams of Marijuana, Class D Felony 
• Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Class D Felony 
• Possession of Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor 

Proctor is facing the following charges:


Haven Jade Proctor, 32, 421 Johns Street, Decatur, IN 
• Possession of More Than 30 Grams of Marijuana, Class D Felony 
• Visiting a Common Nuisance, Class A Misdemeanor
