FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne organization dedicated to helping grieving children is bringing in a nationally-known military hero for a fundraiser.

Retired US Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell, who has received the Navy Cross and Purple Heart and is also known for the book “Lone Survivor,” will speak at the annual “Common Bond Breakfast” held by Erin’s House for Grieving Children. Debbie Meyer tells WOWO News the breakfast is very important to the House:

“(It) helps us raise money so the families that come to Erin’s House are never charged a fee,” she says. “When they’re going through the loss of a loved one the last thing they need is to be charged a fee for their grief support.”

The Common Bond Breakfast will be held at the Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne on June 6th. Doors open at 7:30am, tickets are $100 each and are on sale now at ErinsHouse.org.
