Prosecutors: Man tied to Ohio gang pleads guilty on 3 counts

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ Federal prosecutors say an ex-fugitive arrested in connection with a racketeering case has pleaded guilty to several charges in Ohio.

Authorities say 33-year-old Andre M. Brown, who goes by “Paco,” is an associate of the Short North Posse in Columbus.

Brown was arrested by FBI agents in North Carolina last June, months after he was indicted in connection to the gang. Prosecutors say he has pleaded guilty to single counts of racketeering conspiracy, marijuana possession and use of a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime.

A message seeking comment was left for Brown’s lawyer in Columbus.

Prosecutors say 19 other people were indicted in the racketeering case. Trial for five of them is scheduled Monday. Two other trials in the case are set for July and September.
