Man Sentenced in Killing over Cell Phone

The man who was convicted of killing 21-year-old Kyree Ellis in a dispute over a cell phone, has been sentenced to a 56-year prison sentence.  The Journal-Gazette says A.C. James Jr. was in Allen County court today when the sentence was handed down.  The defense had asked for leniency but the judge in the case said that James had ample opportunity to take care of his drug addiction in previous dealings with the legal system.  James, meanwhile, says he plans to appeal his conviction.
