Man sentenced for dumping teen’s body

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man will spend two years in prison for dumping a teenager’s body in an alley.

29-year-old Christopher Walker was sentenced for moving a body from the scene of a violent or suspicious death Wednesday after admitting he helped wrap the body of Marcie Lynn Ward in sheets, carpet, and garbage bags, and then dumped it in an alley in November 2016.

The Journal Gazette reports he apologized to the girl’s family and admitted to using drugs at the time.

Ward died at the home of Scott Tindall, who allegedly told Walker that the girl had died of a drug overdose. Tindall died in 2017 and wasn’t charged.
