Man Killed, Another Beaten in Barbershop Attack

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) – Police say one man was fatally shot and another beaten with a bat during an early morning attack inside a central Indiana barbershop.

Anderson police say officers were called to Divine Stylez-n-Cutz Barbershop about 2 a.m. Thursday, where they found 24-year-old Brandon Boone wounded outside a nearby home.

City police spokesman Chad Boynton tells The Herald Bulletin  that investigators weren't immediately sure whether robbery was the shooting's motive and that investigators were still seeking suspects.

The shop's owner told police he was cutting Boone's hair while the shop was closed when two men wearing ski masks broke in. One of the men shot Boone while the other attacked Boone's brother, who is a shop employee. That man was taken to a hospital for head and face injuries.
