Man Injured in Steuben County Crash

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Emergency crews were called to the scene of an accident Sunday around 4:30 P.M. on 450 W in Steuben County. A truck had gone off the road and hit a large rock, causing it to overturn and then hit a utility pole. 34-year-old Jerry Haupt, of Coldwater, Michigan, was taken to a hospital for head and face injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. According to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department, alcohol is suspected in the involvement of the crash. The investigation continues.
