FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police were called to Early Birds nightclub on Wells Street near Lima Road early Sunday morning to investigate a reported shooting.

Officers on the scene told investigators that as the club was closing at around 3:00 AM, there was some type of fight outside in the parking lot involving several people.  During the fight, shots were fired. A short time later, a man arrived at a local hospital suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Doctors advised that the victim was listed in critical condition. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of relatives.

There is no suspect information at this time and no arrests have been made.

This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
