SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) _ A hospital has upgraded to fair the medical condition of a passenger on a private jet that crashed into three homes near the South Bend Regional Airport.

Memorial Hospital spokeswoman Maggie Scroope says the condition of Jim Rodgers was upgraded from serious Wednesday. She says Christopher Evans remains in fair condition.
