Man in Serious-Critical Condition after Drexel Avenue Shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A 22-year-old Fort Wayne man is in serious-critical condition after a shooting Thursday afternoon.


According to Fort Wayne police, shots were fired around 4:18 p.m., Thursday. Once officers arrived on the scene, they found a man down on the ground, next to the passenger side of a parked vehicle. Police say the victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital where his condition has been fluctuating between serious and critical.


Police say the victim was standing next to the parked vehicle when a dark colored vehicle traveling west on Drexel Avenue approached and shots were fired from inside the moving vehicle at the victim. The driver of the vehicle continued traveling west on Drexel Avenue after the shots were fired.
