Man Gets 73 Years in Bloomington Pizza Man Murder

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) _ A Bloomington man has been sentenced to 73 years in prison for his convictions on murder and gun charges in connection with the slaying of a Bloomington pizza delivery man who interrupted a car burglary.

The Herald-Times reports 23-year-old James Finney received the maximum 65-year sentence for murder Wednesday and two concurrent eight-year sentences for carrying a handgun without a license.

A jury last month convicted Finney in the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Adam Sarnecki on Nov. 4, 2011. Sarnecki was returning from delivering a pizza when he confronted a man breaking into his boss's car. Sarnecki, who was shot once in the lower back, died in surgery.
