Man Flees Warsaw Police During Drug Pursuit

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man has been arrested after fleeing Warsaw police during a drug pursuit.

The Warsaw police narcotics division was surveying 34-year-old Joshua Golden's residence Sunday night on Chapman Lake Drive, located northeast of town. Golden had a class A felony warrant against him for dealing drugs.

This morning, police pulled him over during a traffic stop. Golden fled the scene and officers followed him on a high-speed chase.

Golden traveled south on State Road 15 and then continued southbound into downtown Warsaw. He finally stopped on the 600 block of S. Detroit Street and rolled his vehicle into the Warsaw Machinery building.

Golden left his vehicle and police were able to track him down with a K-9 unit. While investigating his vehicle, police discovered found one pot meth labs along with items that are used to manufacture the drug.

The investigation led officers to Golden's girlfriend, 32-year-old Jasmine Currie of North Webster. Currie was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail with Golden on possession charges, along with conspiracy to deal.

Golden is being held without bond.
