Man Fatally Hit by Train on Lower Huntington

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man has been fatally stuck by a train on Lower Huntington Road.

According to Fort Wayne Police Public Information Officer, Mike Joyner, calls came in around 1:10 p.m., Thursday afternoon about a person being hit by a train at the Norfolk Southern Rail Crossing. Once officers and fire crews arrived, they found a man dead on the scene.

Right now Lower Huntington Road is shutdown for all eastbound and westbound traffic between Baer Road and Bradbury Avenue.  “I would imagine it’s going to remain this way for the next couple of hours until this investigation is complete,” said Joyner.
