Man Critically Injured in Orland Crash

ORLAND, Ind. (WOWO): A person was critically injured after a crash in Orland Friday night. The Steuben County Sheriff's Department was called to the scene of a personal injury accident on CR 550 W. north of Orland Road around 6:23 P.M. According to the Sheriff's Department, a truck driven by 29-year-old Jeremy Maguire was going north when it left the road and hit a tree. Rescue crews were called and spent about 20 minutes extricating Maguire from the vehicle. He was then flown to a Fort Wayne hospital in critical condition. According to the Sheriff's Office, Maguire's seatbelt didn't appear to be in use at the time of the crash, and alcohol is believed to be a factor. The accident remains under investigation.
