Man in critical condition after overnight shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One man is in critical condition after an overnight shooting in Fort Wayne. John Chambers, spokesperson for the Fort Wayne Police Department, tells WOWO News that around midnight, officers were called to Fox Avenue near South Wayne Avenue after reports of shots being fired.

Once officers arrived, they found the man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he is now listed in critical condition.

Witnesses told police they heard multiple gunshots and noticed two or three men running from the area.

Investigators believe there was some kind of disturbance between several people at a home, located on Fox Avenue, before the shooting.

As of right now the incident is still under investigation, but if you know anything about this, you’re asked to call police.
