Man Arrested After Disturbance at Gas Station

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One man is under arrest after causing problems at a gas station early this morning. Officers were called to the Shell Gas Station on Illinois Road near Getz Road on report of an unwanted person. When police got to the scene, they found the suspect, David Dyer, jumping around the entrance with his shirt off, yelling obscenities and rambling comments about things like killing his mom. Officers described Dyer as being in a delirium. They ordered the man to the ground, but when he wouldn’t comply and tried to leave in his vehicle, they deployed a taser several times. Dyer was finally handcuffed and taken to a hospital, then to lockup. The man had damaged the store by throwing things on the floor and pulling registers off the counter. He is being charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief.
