Man Arrested After Crash at IN/OH LIne

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – A Pleasant Lake man was arrested after a traffic accident on Saturday night at the Williams County, Ohio and Steuben County, Indiana line.    When officers arrived they found 30-year-old Logan Norton had been traveling west on CR L in Williams County when he allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign at CR L and CR 1000 East in Steuben County.  Logan’s vehicle then struck an embankment and a fence before coming to rest in a field.

A passenger in the vehicle, 34-year-old Nathan Norton suffered a broken hip, and facial injuries in the crash.  He was transported from the scene to Parkview Regional Medical center by a Samaritan helicopter.

Logan Norton refused medical treatment at the scene and was taken to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation and later charged with driving while intoxicated. He was then taken to Cameron Hospital E.R. where he was treated for a broken hand and facial injuries.

It appears neither of the men were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
