NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): An off-duty State Trooper with a keen eye ended up making two arrests near Chain-O-Lakes State Park last night.

The trooper spotted 34-year-old Tony Jacobs, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for burglary out of LaGrange County, driving on State Road 9 near County Road 75 South at about 5:50 pm Thursday. The trooper followed Jacobs’ vehicle, and identified himself when Jacobs got out at a home on State Road 9.

Jacobs ran away but was quickly caught. He was arrested on the warrant, as well as on charges of resisting law enforcement, operating while intoxicated, being a habitual traffic violator, and for a parole violation.

A woman in Jacobs’ car, 38-year-old Melissa Johnson, was arrested on a Noble County warrant and for possession of a controlled substance.
