Man Accused Of Killing Wife’s Ex-husband In Gary

GARY, Ind. (AP) _ A 35-year-old man is accused of fatally shooting his wife's ex-husband in Gary. The (Munster) Times (http://bit.ly/1gd0miY ) reports Gentry Jackson has been charged with murder in the Monday killing of 44-year-old Alec McCloud. He was being held without bail Wednesday in the Lake County Jail.

Court records say Jackson's stepson said he opened the door at their home for his sister and saw his father parked outside. The stepson told police he saw Jackson run out of the house with a gun, and an affidavit says Jackson fired at McCloud.

Gary police say McCloud drove off, crashing his car into a curb outside a church. The Lake County coroner's office says he was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The affidavit says Jackson claims McCloud pointed a gun at him.

It wasn't immediately clear if Jackson has an attorney.
