FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): It's six years in prison, with four more years suspended for a Fort Wayne man who pleaded guilty to attacking another man with a machete and later lighting him on fire.

Today in Allen Superior Court, 29-year-old David Hunter learned his fate for the March crime. According to the Journal-Gazette, Hunter and Marcus Boone argued over money at a home on Lillie Street

That's when Hunter struck him with the weapon. Hunter's girlfriend 36-year-old Tamekia Spivey assisted in the attack by holding him down and lighting him on fire.  

Boone told investigators he was bound with a belt, and one point got knocked out. He awoke later to smell gasoline and Spivey lighting him on fire with a lighter. He suffered burns on more than 20 percent of his body.  He eventually worked himself free and got help.

Hunter previously pleaded guilty to aggravated battery, battery causing serious bodily injury and criminal recklessness.

Spively has pleaded guilty to her role, and is expected to be sentenced next week.
