Lutheran Health Network partners with The Milk Bank, hosts breast milk donation drive

Phoot Supplied - The Milk Bank

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Lutheran Health Network is planning to host a breast milk donation drive next week.

LHN will host the drive next Monday, Nov. 26 from 3-7 p.m. along with The Milk Bank, according to our partners in news at ABC 21.

Mothers who have extra milk are being asked to drop off their supply during the drive, fill out a medical history form and have their blood drawn for testing. The milk will then be donated to ill or premature infants throughout the United States.

Those interested in donation should be healthy women who delivered an infant within the past two years. They must be willing to complete the medical history form and have their blood drawn. Donors will not be paid.

For more information, call Lutheran’s lactation team at (260) 435-7330, or visit TheMilkBank.org/donate-milk.
