INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): Help may be on the way for some former ITT Technical Institute students.

ITT Tech closed all operations on Sept. 6 and now thousands of students are at a loss. Congressman Todd Young and Congressman Luke Messer are trying to help veterans who were pursuing a degree at ITT Tech.

“I’m working with Congressman Todd Young on legislation that we will drop this week that just basically restores GI Bill benefits for veterans who were pursuing their degree at ITT Tech,” Messer said.

Messer said he is confident the legislation will have bipartisan support.

Governor Mike Pence is also try to help veterans. He sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs asking to fully reinstate the GI Bill benefits for any veteran who used theirs on ITT Tech.
