Look Out For Discarded Meth Lab Materials On Roadways

DEFIANCE, Ohio (WOWO): Authorities in northwest Ohio are dealing with a growing problem with discarded methamphetamine lab materials being discarded on roadways.

The Multi Area Law Enforcement Task Force is asking you to be on the lookout for possible meth lab dump sites along roadways in Williams, Defiance, Fulton, Henry, and Putnam Counties. The Defiance County Sheriff's Office says cooking vessels and gas generators involved int eh making of methamphetamine are discarded along roadways to avoid detection.

The discarded materials are hazardous since they can catch fire, explode, or cause an inhalation risk to whomever comes across them. Any person or group that picks up trash along roadways should use extreme caution if meth lab materials are found. You're also being asked to contact your local authorities if these materials are found along the road.
