Lockdown Lifted at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Canter in Plymouth

MARSAHLL COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): The Saint Joseph Regional Medical Canter in Plymouth was on lockdown Tuesday afternoon, with individuals inside not allowed to leave or enter the facility. However, the lockdown was lifted around 1:30 p.m..

According to a press release sent from Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center:

“Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth has received a credible threat from the community. We are taking this threat seriously and are taking all necessary precautions to keep our patients, staff and visitors safe. All patients scheduled for tests and procedures are being asked to enter through the main entrance of the hospital.”

The South Bend Tribune reports the situation began when a relative of a suicide victim made threats against the hospital and Bowen Center. That person is now with police and any potential danger is over.
