ANGOLA, Ind. (WOWO): A northeastern Indiana sheriff's deputy has been named the 2013 County Police Officer/Deputy of the Year by the Indiana Sheriff's Association. Deputy Rich McCarty received the award at the group's annual dinner. He was cited for an incident where he helped capture two suspects and then was shot at by a third.
