Local pastors demand academic addition to East Allen County school

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Local ministers have made some demands to the East Allen County School district.

The United Pastors of Fort Wayne are demanding an academic addition to the former Harding High School. They want school officials to make a 7th to 12th grade addition onto Paul Harding Junior High School and East Allen University, which is the former site of the high school.

They made the plea at a press conference Thursday afternoon and the Journal-Gazette is reporting they didn't take any further questions from the press due to pending litigation.

This is the same group of pastors that have sued the district to halt a proposed building referendum for the district. A hearing on that suit is scheduled for Friday afternoon in Allen Superior Court.
