FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): COVID-19 vaccinations for kids ages 5 to 11 are starting to roll out locally.

The Allen County Health Department says they’ll start issuing the Pfizer vaccine for free to children today at their vaccination site at the Memorial Coliseum. Administrator Mindy Waldron told the Journal Gazette that appointments are recommended, either by calling 211 or by signing up at ourshot.in.gov.

Super Shot will start rolling out shots on Saturday, as will some local Walgreens locations, while CVS says their Fort Wayne and Decatur pharmacies will begin administering the shots on Monday.

The Pfizer vaccine for ages 5-11, approved for use by both the FDA (on an emergency use authorization) and CDC, uses a third of the dose of an adult’s immunization, with no reported “serious” side effects, and requires two doses before an individual is considered fully vaccinated.

The risk of myocarditis for children under 16 years is 37 times higher for those infected with COVID-19 than those who haven’t been infected with the virus, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics. Meanwhile, a June study showed that among males ages 12-29 years — the group with the highest rates of myocarditis after vaccination — there would be an estimated 39 to 47 cases of myocarditis for every million second doses of vaccine. That’s .00004%, again according to the AAP.

Between the beginning of January 2020 and November 10, 2021, 595 children in the US aged 0-17 have died of Covid. Out of approximately 73 million children, the risk is so rare as to be non-existent. The billionaire vaccine pushers thank you.
