Local 211 Service Expands

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): United Way of Allen County has announced its 211 Services have been expanded to six new counties across northern Indiana. The organization says the expanded service took effect at the first of the year but is being celebrated Tuesday on National 211 Day. 211 is a national dialing code for free, safe access to more than 1,800 local health and human services, like housing, shelter, food, clothing, etc. With the new counties, Northeast Indiana 211 Services renamed to My United Way 211 will serve 19 counties and more than 1.5 million Hoosiers.
