LIGONIER, Ind. (WOWO): A federal report says that some area cities are among the safest in the state.

In fact, Ligonier ranked 2nd out of the 30 safest cities in Indiana ranked by Safewise. They pull data from 2014's FBI Uniform Crime Report of cities with 4,000 poeple or more. 

Ligonier has no reports of violent crime and its crime rate is 87 percent lower than the average city in America.
