FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) When postal workers come to your mailbox Saturday they are looking for more than just mail.

They'll be collecting canned food for their Annual Stamp Out Hunger Drive.

You are asked to leave a food items, by your mailbox and they'll make sure they get to the Associated Churches Food Pantry.

Organizers say they collected more than 540,000 pounds last year – that's about 45 full grown elephants and a baby one.  All food collected locally, stays local. 

You can also donate at your local post office. If you have larger contributions you can call Associated Churches at 260-422-3528 to schedule a pick-up.
