Legion Post Asked to Rethink Lawsuit Challenging Statewide Smoking Ban

The American Legion Post in Ligoneer has asked a federal judge to pull the plug on their lawsuit that was challenging the statewide smoking ban at public places. The post says the law was over-reaching because they didn’t allow smoking in places where children were allowed; however, they were still allowing smoking in casinos. The state sent the post a letter saying they would be a public place only when the public was invited, otherwise, they’re private and there is an exemption in the law that says the law doesn’t apply to private clubs.
