FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Eight months after a devastating fire, a Fort Wayne laser tag business is ready to make a comeback.

Lazer X on Fernhill Avenue between Coldwater and Lima Roads was gutted by a fire on the morning of November 8, 2015. The building was declared a total loss, but the owners vowed to return to business by the summer of 2016.

At 1 p.m. on July 9, Lazer X will open its doors once again to the public, with a grand opening celebration on July 15, according to its website.

Lazer X says the brand new facility will feature state of the art equipment and a new video arcade.

As a thank you to the firefighters that first responded to last November’s fire, they will be given the first chance to play at 5:30 p.m. both Wednesday and Thursday.
