LaGrange County Teacher Charged for Harassment of Students

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Lakeland Middle School teacher and coach, 32-year-old Brent Miller, has been charged with enticing students with alcohol and sending them sexually explicit messages.

According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, back in September, the LaGrange man used social media to invite student-athletes to his home to drink.

The LaGrange County Sheriff's Department says some of the messages were sexually explicit. Miller is facing three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and two counts of harassment.

Miller turned himself in, but and was later released on $1,000 bond.

Miller was a teacher at Lakeland Middle School and served as the Lakeland High School volleyball head coach and freshman boys basketball coach. He worked with the district for seven years and resigned after being charged.

Miller's next scheduled court appearance is December 15.
