Kroger Recalls Four Spices for Salmonella Contamination

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Kroger has recalled four of its Kroger brand spices due to possible contamination for salmonella.

The grocery chain recalled Kroger brand Ground Cinnamon, Garlic Powder, Coarse Ground Black Pepper and  Bac'n Buds due to possible contamination from salmonella.

A sample taken from a store in South Carolina was tested by the FDA and found to be contaminated . To date, no illnesses have been reported in connection with these products.

Out of an abundance of caution, the company late last week recalled all four seasonings produced on the same equipment in the same facility.

The recall covers the products sold in retail stores in portions of Indiana, Michigan and several other states.

Customers who have purchased the recalled products should not consume them and should return them to a store for a full refund or replacement. Customers who have questions may contact Kroger at 800-576-4377.
