Kosciusko Drug Sting Nets 13 Arrests

Numerous law enforcement officers from Kosciusko and Elkhart counties conducted a drug warrant blitz yesterday arresting 13 individuals.

The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force, along with officers from Syracuse, North Webster, Milford, and Elkhart City Drug Task Force converged on various locations.  Below is a list of individuals arrest on drug related charges in the last 24 hours by officers involved in the blitz:

Casey James Louden, 25, Pierceton                 

Charge: Felony dealing/delivering methamphetamine                          Bond: $50,000

Catherine L. Schmidt, 40, Warsaw

Charge:  Two felony counts of dealing schedule III controlled substance Bond: $50,000

Marshall B. Slone, 32, Claypool

Charge:  Felony dealing in schedule I controlled substance                              Bond:  $50,000

Richard J. Mackensworth, 49, Milford

Charge:  Felony dealing in schedule I, II, & III controlled substance         Bond:  $50,000

Brenda Kae Mackensworth, 42, Milford

Charge:  Felony dealing in schedule IV controlled substance                     Bond:  $20,000

Amber Marie Engle, 26, Claypool

Charge:  Felony possession of a schedule I, II, III, or IV controlled substance  NO BOND

John Wayne Clark, 41, Claypool

Charge:  Felony dealing schedule III controlled substance                          Bond:  $50,000

Jimmy Lee Burchett, 49, Warsaw

Charge:  Felony possession of marijuana/over 30 grams                             Bond:  $10,000

Willie D. Williams, 30, Elkhart

Charge:  Felony dealing and felony possession of methamphetamine         Bond:  $50,000

Teresa Sue Hall, 39, Warsaw

Charge:  Felony dealing in schedule I, II, or II controlled substance           Bond:  $50,000

Jamey I. Besemann, 32, Milford

Charges:  Felony dealing in a schedule I, II, or III controlled substance and habitual substance offender                                                                                        Bond:  $50,000

While K.C.S.D. deputies were assisting in the warrant blitz, they conducted a traffic stop near the area of State Road 13 and County Road 125 South where the arrested James O. Sayler, 35, and Donal Edward Weber, 27, both of Winona Lake on felony charges of possession of a schedule IV controlled substance.  Their bonds are individually $2,000.

Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers still have outstanding drug warrants on the following individuals:

Jamie E. Sparks, 26, Elkhart                                         Thomas Wayne Yoder, 48, Milford

Michelle B. Miller, 44, Milford                          Jennifer Ormsby, 31, Larwill

Codie L. J. Pierce, 21, Warsaw                                    Chelesa R. Baldwin, 24, Warsaw

Information on the remaining six individuals with active warrants can be called into the Kosciusko County Central Dispatch Center at 574-267-5667 or the TIP Line at 574-372-2494.

The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office advises that the defendant’s charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
