FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  A kitchen fire on Fort Wayne's south west side left one area restaurant with heavy smoke damage. 

The Philmore On Broadway restaurant is located at 2441 Broadway, south of Taylor Street.  The kitchen fire was called in around 6:56 p.m. and was under control just after 7:16 p.m.  Crews made an interior hose line attack to control the fire.  They report smoke did extend out of the kitchen into the building. 

Police report there were injuries, but no medical transport was necessary.  The incident remains under investigation.
