Kendallville police searching for Monday night shooting suspects

KENDALLVILLE, Ind. (WOWO) – Kendallville police are searching for two suspects believed to have been involved in a Monday night shooting.

Just after 11 p.m. Monday, the Kendallville Police Department received reports of possible shots fired in the area of N. Main Street and Wayne Street.

When officers arrived to the home in question, they received a call from Parkview Noble Emergency Room staff reporting someone had been dropped off with an apparent gunshot wound. They were left at the entrance by two suspects who left without providing any information.

The gunshot victim was transported to a Fort Wayne hospital in critical condition.

Officers were able to determine a suspect vehicle from witnesses and hospital surveillance video, and began searching for a 2008 blue Chevrolet Impala, bearing a Michigan license plate #DYS3000.

A warrant for arrest has been issued for Kyle Andrew Laverne Gibson, 27 of Kendallville. He is described as white, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He’s facing one count of aggravated battery.

If you see Gibson, you’re advised not to approach him, but to call the Kendallville Police Department. He may be armed with at least two firearms.

The Kendallville Police Department is also searching for Alexis Jordan, 26, who may have information concerning the shooting. She’s also believed to possibly be with Gibson.

Jordan is described as white, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 120 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.
