Kendallville Driver Falls Asleep at Wheel

KENDALLVILLE, Ind. (WOWO): A driver fell asleep at the wheel yesterday afternoon in Kendallville off US-6 and 400 E.

58-year-old Edward Meyer was driving his 2002 Ford Ranger when he fell asleep at the wheel on 400 E. The truck crossed the center-line and struck the side of another vehicle, that was travelling westbound on US-6. The driver, 71-year-old Stephan App was transported to the Noble County Parkview Hospital with his wife, who were both treated for injuries.

Meyer was also taken to the hospital and treated for lacerations to his hands. According to a press release, the truck was totaled.
