Kayakers Pulled from St. Joe River

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two kayakers were rescued from the St. Joe River on Sunday after their kayaks flipped over in the water.

According to our Partners in News at 21Alive, the two were spotted by a homeowner who heard them shouting for help.

After 911 was called, rescuers rushed to the scene and the kayakers were safely pulled from the water.

Rescue workers remind everyone to wear life jackets when they are on the water. If you decide to use a water device, make sure the body of water is safe, and not flooded.
