CLEVELAND, Ohio (AP): Ohio Gov. John Kasich says he’ll be in Cleveland for the duration of the Republican National Convention, but he isn’t sure if he’ll actually go inside.

The former presidential contender said Wednesday he plans on arriving a day before the convention begins on July 18 to help oversee security.

Kasich hasn’t endorsed one-time rival and presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump. He also says he didn’t ask for a chance to speak at the convention and was never offered a speaking slot.

Kasich has kept a low profile since suspending his presidential campaign in May.
He appeared in suburban Cleveland Wednesday to announce that a $280 million project to build a new bridge on Interstate 480 is being moved up two years.

It’s Ohio’s busiest bridge, with 180,000 vehicles a day.

  1. Shame on you Kasich! You are not a man. Sir you made an agreement to support voters choice for president. You need to change parties because you sir are acting like a spoiled whining democrat!
