Judge Releases Evidence That Jailed Indy Officer

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP): A judge in Fort Wayne has released evidence that persuaded him to order an Indianapolis police officer held until his trial on charges that he caused a fatal accident while driving his squad car while he was drunk on duty.

Allen County Judge John Surbeck, Jr. released 100 pages of evidence Friday that influenced his decision to revoke bond for David Bisard in May.

Bisard was charged nearly three years ago following a crash that killed 30-year-old motorcyclist Eric Wells. The trial was moved due to publicity.

Bisard was free on bond until he was arrested following an April 27 crash in Indianapolis, in which he also was charged with drunken driving.

Evidence released Friday includes a photo of a half-empty vodka bottle found in Bisard's truck in April.
