IU Rushing to Get Construction Done Before Freshmen Arrive

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) _ Freshmen move in at Indiana University next week and that means the school is rushing to finish campus construction projects.

Thomas Morrison is IU's vice president of capital planning and facilities. He tells the Bloomington Herald Times that recent rains slowed some construction projects. But overall he says workers are making progress and the campus' main thoroughfares are in good shape.

Morrison says he thinks the school “will be ready for the students,” but he doesn't want people to think all the construction fences will be down when classes start. Morrison says Franklin Hall and The Kelley School of Business still have months of renovations left.
