ISP to Participate in Operation Pull Over “Safe Family Travel”

The Thanksgiving holiday season is a busy time for travel. To try and help save lives on the roadways, this Thanksgiving, the Indiana State Police will participate in the statewide 16-day blitz known as Safe Family Travel.

It’s an annual program that combines seatbelt and impaired driving patrols. The effort will start this Friday, November 16th, and run through Sunday, December 2nd.

During this 16-day blitz, Indiana law enforcement officers will work thousands of overtime hours, day and night, to make sure that drivers are traveling safely and responsibly on the state’s roadways.

“Safe Family Travel” is supported by federal highway safety funding awarded to the Indiana State Police from the Traffic Safety division of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.
