IPFW Eliminating Jobs

IPFW is cutting 39 full-time & 2 part-time positions to offset an $8.5 million budget deficit.

According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, those jobs will be eliminated through layoffs by the end of June. The University’s budget problems stem from receiving less money from the state and lower enrollment this past fall.

IPFW expects to save $2.2 million with the job cuts and a 2% tuition increase is planned for this fall as well.
