IPFW Eliminating Dispatchers

FORT WAYNE (WOWO): Budget cuts at IPFW mean the campus police department will now use the city and county’s dispatch center. Effective June 30, the university will eliminate dispatchers. School officials say very few of the calls to their dispatch center were emergency situations. The Journal-Gazette says none of the 18 campus police officers will be cut. The university is facing a 8.4 million dollar budget cut.
