IPFW Chancellor reacts to report suggesting a split campus

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Last Friday a working group suggested that IPFW split into separate Purdue and Indiana University campuses. Chancellor Vicky Carwein criticized the report, saying it was “unacceptable” on educational and operational grounds.

She tells WOWO news the recommendation might not matter anyway: “These are recommendations that will be delivered to the Presidents of the two universities and their boards of trustees. The next step is for a number of teams to really get into the nuts and bolts of what these really mean, of what can and cannot be done.”

Carwein adds that the programs and degrees offered won’t change, regardless of what happens, and those currently enrolled in IPFW-specific programs will be able to finish them without any problems.
